Section 2. - People and their social environment – the possibilities of social work

The goal of social work realized in the eco-social context is to achieve a balance between the needs of the client and the possibilities to meet them present in his/her social environment. Thus, the intervention of social workers is aimed at the clients as well as their environment. Our section welcomes contributions which 1) analyse the interactions between the client and his/her environment, 2) focus on the processes affecting the quality of relationships between the client and his/her surroundings, 3) address the issue of the client’s adaptation to change, 4) focus on the problems and needs of the client and the tasks of social work in connection with different stages of the life cycle, 5) deal with the problems and needs connected with interpersonal obstacles and other factors negatively affecting the social functioning of clients.
